Tangible Difference Learning Center

TDLC's purpose and goal is to effectively serve families with special needs children by providing quality ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Professional Counseling services in the Greater Houston area. When it comes to Tangible Difference, hope is NEVER lost!

Our Center is unique in that we offer a variety of services all in one place. No more driving all over Houston to meet your family's therapy needs - we have it all! From quality applied behavior analysis (ABA) to speech therapy, social skills classes to occupational therapy, professional counseling and more, we are here to help your family.

We have acquired another suite and expanded to 5,000 square feet of space for your therapy needs. We plan to allocate this space for our new Occupational Therapy program and extra space for our Speech Therapy services. Schedule an appointment with us today and see how we've grown!

We offer Treatment programs developed to suit individual needs!

Tangible Difference Learning Center is an ABA-based clinic that provides:

  • Quality Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Speech-Language Pathology services
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Social Skills classes
  • Parent Training
  • Professional Counseling services

All in one location for families in Houston and the surrounding area.

A quality social skills class can help prepare children for a private or public school setting. If you child has been unsuccessful in school, you may find that a few months in a classroom that focuses on communication and behavior will help.

Our Executive Director, Michael Conteh M.Ed, BCBA, is also available for consulting, workshops, and staff trainings. Please call us for more information on pricing and availability!

Autism Spectrum Disorders and special needs

ASDs (Autism Spectrum Disorders) are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that an average of 1 in 110 children in the U.S. have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. When a child is not reaching the expected milestones in development during infancy and early childhood, parents have cause for concern. After further testing and assessments, when a family receives the official diagnosis that their child has Autism, they are filled with questions on how to best care and provide treatment for their special child. Established in 2005, Tangible Difference Learning Center provides numerous programs designed to assist and train you in ways to help your child progress. We focus on the areas of communication, behavior, academics, and social skills to help your child reach his/her full potential.

What makes us different?

  • Lots of different treatments in one location. Between ABA, Social Skills classes, Occupational Therapy, parent trainings, Speech Language Pathology, and professional couples/family counseling services, we provide the resources necessary to best help your family. You no longer need to drive all over Houston to receive effective treatment! We are also able to incorporate goals from social skills classes, speech therapy, and occupational therapy into ABA sessions, and our professional staff work together to make sure that each child's treatment is cohesive and consistent.
  • Unique vision for your unique child. We firmly believe that every child can benefit from the services we provide. We are constantly reevaluating and reassessing our modes of therapy in order to find the one that best fits your child's specific needs. There is no one-size-fits-all method and we do not believe that your child needs to change to fit into that method; we believe it is our responsiblity to change our approach to fit your child's individual personality.
  • We offer help for the family as a whole. While your child is receiving ABA, Speech or Occupational Therapy, our Professional Counseling services offer a place for parents and siblings to share, grieve, celebrate achievements, express concerns, or reach out for help. Our Licensed Professional Counselor has worked with special needs children one-on-one, and is familiar with some struggles you may face. While our other programs focus on your child, this program is all about you!
  • State-of-the-art technology. We employ a top-notch website, write educational (and entertaining) blogs, offer online tuition payment, have Facebook and Twitter pages with all of our latest events and information, keep you updated on upcoming TDLC events and closures with an online Google calendar, keep in-home parents in the loop through the use of an informative newsletter, and do a majority of our communication through email.
  • Interactive Training. We offer detailed and thorough training for our staff and clients. Parents carrying over ABA/Speech/OT techniques into the home setting is a key factor in a child's success!
  • Great communication and accessibility. Through our website, we let you know all the latest TDLC news, what we are doing, and why. Our friendly staff is available to answer your questions, and our BCBA is also available to our clients to discuss concerns and treatment options.
  • Our Four Phase Program. We have developed an easy-to-use and streamlined way to do data programming. We don't want programming issues holding back your child's progress, so we are continually updating programming and materials in order to keep up with technology and research! We
